Using the site

You may read the pages and use the calculators for your own education. You may not use the site to break the law, to interfere with the service, to scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or to present a calculator result as a loan offer, a tax filing, or a benefit decision from Pennyplotter.

No professional relationship

Use of the site does not create a client, advisory, fiduciary, broker, or lender relationship. Giuseppe Ilarda, named on the about page, owns the site. He writes the calculators and explainers and checks them. Using a calculator does not make him your advisor, and the pages are not financial advice.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, and original graphics are owned by their author except where a page quotes or links to a public source. Calculator ideas such as the standard payment formula are not claimed as property. Linked government and company pages remain the property of those publishers. You may link to these pages. You may not copy the articles onto another site and present them as your own.

Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided as educational material. To the extent the law allows, Pennyplotter disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, and fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, Pennyplotter and its author are not liable for lost money, a loan you choose, a tax amount, or other damages arising from use of the site or from inability to use it, including when a calculator and a lender's document disagree.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or limits of liability. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law permits.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of New York.
